Entry requirements & APS
Wits uses a composite APS based on your best six NSC subjects (excluding Life Orientation), with each programme publishing its own minimum score.
- A National Senior Certificate with a Bachelor's degree pass.
- English Home or First Additional Language at level 4 or above (higher for selected programmes).
- Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) for commerce, science, engineering and health sciences programmes.
- A composite APS at or above your programme's published minimum — competitive programmes require considerably more.
- National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) for Health Sciences and selected programmes, plus a portfolio for Architecture and the Arts.
